How about saying what problems you encountered? LDIF is supposed to be a portable attribute, although if Fedora DS is anything like SunOne, then it will add plenty of internal bits to the data around server config pieces. However, the general non-server specific data should import into OpenLDAP just fine as long as you load the corresponding schemas. This really goes for any LDAP directory->directory migration.
