I did try that. As I said ppolicy.c is not in openldap-2.2.19 (the
source in freebsd ports I'm trying to build this for) - so I added it
everywhere pcache was mentioned in the Makefile - but when I do make
install - nothing happens.

make ppolicy.la - works fine.

What commands do I use to build a .so file from the .la? (I guess this
is what the Makefile was supposed to do, when running make install?)

Or have you got any idea why the make install does nothing?

Thank you for replying.
