Yep; already found it...  For some reason I didn't pick up on the 2005 
posts when I was searching (and was only skimming the mailing list because 
I wasn't working on OpenLDAP at the time).

I guess I'd better check to see if an ITS has been filed, to get this 
back-ported to 2.2.
