RE: CLOSE_WAIT server sessions

Schmieder

I haven't been able to solve it :( yet...

I've tried a lot of things and no use....
Diferent servers, compiling with ICC, with debugging, changing the
sysctls.... Nothing... But one thing is in common here... The client side!!!
so I think my problem is in the client side, because I've solrais 7 with
nss_ldap and pam_ldap (and there are no info about this) and sometimes it
crashes opening a lot of connections and then they remain at the server side
in CLOSE_WAIT state...

We are going to migrate the client to a new server with Fedora, and then we
will see if it was or not of Solaris7, because one day we have to do it and
since we're experiecing this problem we're going to do it sooner...

But we're trying to solve it and if I reach any conclusion I tell you, hope
you do the same :)

Try to specify your environment, may be could be some sysctls issues!
