Yes, I've tested it through numerous releases of 2.2, and I don't think it 
is fully ready yet.

Certainly with 2.2.17 (as per Howard's response).  There have also been 
changes to the syncrepl code since 2.2.18 was released if you browse the 
CVS logs.

Yeah, I think syncrepl still isn't fully ready yet, but that is my opinion. 
;)  I want to switch to syncrepl as well, but I've not seen it behave 
consistently enough yet for me to switch.
