Buchan, I looked, but ya got to know the right keywords to look for ;)
Seriously, thanks for the response.  We've been using OpenLDAP for about a
year without any serious issues until now and anything we did run into I was
able to research and solve.  This is the first I wasn't.  I did receive a  a
post from Howard and Quanah concerning this and have a couple of leads to
run down this weekend.  

I'll post how it goes.
