RE: configure: error: Berkeley DB version mismatch

U'r right and I was wrong to say that the tarball includes a Makefile. I
did not verify what I said.

What I could remember at some stage after so many attempts of
"./configure" and something breaks, I had to "clean-up" and redo
everything, and some of these "./configure" issues could be easily
resolved just by "make distclean".

I may be wrong, I better say this b4 I get hit again.

The official OpenLDAP Software tarballs (as distributed by the OpenLDAP
Project) don't include Makefile files.

Using the official tarballs, the second make would fail due
to fact that the first make deletes all the Makefiles.

Your experience appears based on something other than the official
tarballs.

My comments are based upon my knowledge of the official tarballs, which
I generally presume folks are using.  If not in this (or any) case, oh
well.
