LinuXchangE domain and a NT4-Style Windows server with samba3.0.6 (by the way, this version supports Krb with heimdal).

Are you saying if your client logs into the samba domain, they get tickets for the machine and the user and those tickest can be used in subsequent communication with other kerberized resources?
