Is there anybody who can tell me about the compatibility between OpenLDAP

Is OpenLDAP 2.2.x compatible with Linux 2.4.24, or with Linux 2.4.21, or
with Linux 2.4.18 ?

I'm not sure what you mean by are they compatible? Last I check, the Linux kernel had no dependencies on any LDAP implementation, nor did the underlying operating system.

Do you mean, can you compile OpenLDAP on systems running those revisions of the Linux kernel? There shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't. Or do you mean, can systems running those revisions of the Linux kernel use PAM to talk to OpenLDAP 2.2? Most likely they can, since it all speaks the LDAP Protocol, which hasn't changed between OpenLDAP releases, since OpenLDAP simply implements the LDAP protocol, and is not its own protocol in and of itself...

Hope that helps. :)
