Setting default values for attributes

Hey group,

i would like to setup an OpenLDAP directory for DNS administration.
This works fine with LDAP enabled Bind and the proper schemas. So far
so good.

What i want to do now is to define default values for specific
attributes. For example the domain entry of a zone in OpenLDAP has an
entry realtiveDomainname. I would like to setup a default value for
this entry, as this entry contains always the @character if a the
object is a zone description.

In short, i would like to define that attribute relativeDomainname
should always be set to "@", if there is no other value povided by
the administrators.

Is this possible, and if yes could anyone tell me how?

Many thanks for your help

Martin
