loading of 1 million records usign slapadd takes forever

Morning All,

Fellas, am woking on some realistic benchmarks
pertaining to Openldap's/Berkeley DB latest release.

It would be great to know how can i reduce the time
towards loading 1 million records using slapadd. 1 Lak
records are taking me about 60mins.

With the size of logs created(~500MB) i can't even
have the entire /var dir on Ramdisk.

Am in quite a fix since between running tests i have
a lot of wasted time. Suggestions on
optimisation/workarounds are welcome.

 Thanks in advance fellas.

Trevor
