RE: guids



I actually don't care if it getes back to ad itself. I just need to be
able to generate it in OpenLDAP uniquely.

I suspect Samba 3 with an OpenLDAP back-end and winbindd will do what
you want. 
 But I haven't implemented winbind so I can't say for sure.

You can probably also do it with one of OpenLDAP 2.2's back-ends, but I
don't know how you'd get that back to AD clients...
