This matching rule is sported by openldap according to
http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin22/schema.html

See Kurt's note. It has it defined, but there is no logic for it, so it comes back to about the same thing. You can't do equality matching because there is no rule defining how to do it, even if the schema has a syntax and definition for it.
