can't contact ldap server (81)

Dear all; 


I have worked according to the document of quick starting guide in
openldap site 
I have created ldif file 
But when running ldapadd -x -D "cn=root,dc=mydomain,dc=com" -W -f
example.ldif
Enter ldap password appears , I type secret 
But a msg appear 
Ldap_bind: can't contact ldap server (81)

What should I do ?
