Hi Darren,

Unfortunately, I have no idea what is causing that for you.  One thing you 
might do, is set up a test server, and turn up debugging on slapd, and see 
if you can create the problem there.  It might give you some idea of what 
is happening.  "truss" might give you some hints as well.
