Cross-platform OpenLDAP?

We need to allow Windows, Macintosh, and Unix users to log on using 
their directory accounts which are currently stored in OpenLDAP.  We 
would like password changes (and expiration information) to be 
consistent across platforms.  We already have several departments on 
campus that are in Windows Domains and I don't see that changing.  In 
fact all the Windows machines will probably be moved onto a domain.  How 
can we accomplish this without destroying existing domain structures and 
policies?
