owner ship of dir ior files in ldap

Hello

 

I am wondering if anyone has seen this and would like know how to resolve this.

 

The issue is my all users are in ldap, being authenticated well.

but whan I use

 

chown  *.*   file /Dir

 

I get user doesn't exist, Ofcourse user is not in system files,

So how do I resolve this so that chown uses ldap datbase to see which user
