Missing functions

I'm compiling cURL (http://curl.haxx.se) which includes LDAP support,
but dynamically binds to old 1.x names like ldap_url_search_s,
ldap_entry2text and ldap_entry2html.

AFAICS, these are missing from both wldap32.dll and OpenLDAP 2.1+.
Is there an easy way to get the same functionality with the current
LDAP (or Windows' wldap32.dll)?

Why where they removed? Not a wise decision IMHO since several
programs rely on them.
