I tried the set env CFLAGS="-O3" CPPFLAGS="-I/opt/db4/include" LDFLAGS="-
L/opt/db4/lib"
./configure but receive the same error.

I am running FreeBSD 4.6.2

would a lower version of Berkeley work?
