AW: what if slapd hangs???
Hallo Quanah,
thanx a lot for reply. Making blind attempts to figure out what's happening I found that moving my ldap client program (which is using LDAP provider for JNDI from SUN and running on jdk 1.3.1_04) from windozz to solaris makes a lot of difference. I don't feel like digging in windozz/java stuff, however I would like to warn people that it may cause troubles.

Vadim,
I suggest upgrading to 2.1.16 when it becomes available, as there are a lot
of bug fixes between 2.1.8 and 2.1.16 that most likely will fix the problem
you are seeing.
