I don't like to reply to my posts, but i figured out, what slowed down my LDAP server. ACLs !!! After i removed all of them from my slapd.conf, the same search, which previously took 10.8s now takes only 0.7s !!!! ... How could this be possible?!? I had only 11 'access to' directives... Is there any access configuration tuning guide ? :) Brane
