Hi,

actually I was not that dumb :-)
I shut down the LDAP server before copying the data.  I also tried
db_stat, but even this hangs without producing any output.  Running
db_dump hangs on some bdb files (e.g. id2entry.bdb), but works e.g. on
some of my smaller index .bdb files.  But even for them, I get the
following error on db_load: "Lock table is out of available locks".

Moving openldap-data away resulted in the server starting again, but I
for sure would like to get my old data back.
