Hi,

I've setup a centralized openldap server. Everything works ok.
Almost every package f.e. login, proftpd, postfix get there passwords
and login id from the openldap server. Now I want that the passwords
for the mysql logins will be verified through the openldap server too.
Is this possible ?

No, MySQL has its own way of validating users.
( it uses tables in the 'MySQL' DB for this purpose )
It does not check system's users, so it cannot be made to speak to anything external.

unless ... "Use the Source, Luke, use the source " :D
