configure telnet ,ssh for ldap server - please help

dear sir,madam
  pl help me out. iam trying to configure the ldap
server om Red Hat linux 7.0 to authenticate using 
telnet ,ssh , ftp . 
I dont have clear idea ,what it should be like after
configuration. i have tried many of the documents,i
didnt get the specific info which iam looking for.
please help me out with examples if possible
