perhaps putting inverted commas around the cn would help?

Like ldapadd -W -D "cn=manager,o=ucs" -f /tmp/base.ldif -x

I´m trying start LDAP en Red Hat 8.0, but when i run:
ldapadd -W -D cn=manager,o=ucs -f /tmp/base.ldif -x, it back:
ldap_bind: invalid credentials

Somebody can help me?
