StartTLS support for applications

Hello,

Maybe you already saw my thread about "LDAPS" well I wanted to do a
separate mail on about which of these following applications support
StartTLS with the LDAP protocol in other terms an encrypted LDAP session:

- Sendmail
- Solaris using nss_ldap from www.padl.com
- PHP

>From what I read from their respective website only Sendmail would not be
possible to have an encrypted LDAP session, am I right  ?
