Kernel error when trying to add ldif file using slapadd

Hello,

I'm trying to add an ldif file to my ldap database using slapadd. (RH 7.2 & 
openldap 2.0.21).

slapadd -l /tmp/ldif ==> works for a while but eventually terminates.

in /var/log/messages I get this message:

kernel: Out of memory: killed process 11850 (slapadd).

How can I solve this problem? Is this problem kernel related?
Any help would be appreciated !
