installation problem..of OpenLDAP

hi all,

this is my first time on any mailing lists so forgive me if i make any
blunder..
can anyone help me here??
i am following exactly the steps as they mention in www.openldap.org    FAQs
etc etc(All RTFM .... )
i did gunzip,tar..now i have folder  /user/local/openldap-version
cd openldap-version
./configure
make depend
make
it works fine till here
make test
(i get error here of slapd not getting started..) can anyone help me here?
