which HOST is REALLY connected in ldaphost list ?

Hi

The parameter ldaphost int ldap_init(),
ldap_bind()... may be a list of hosts. If the first
one can't be reached, then the functions
try the second one, and so on.

My question is :

<<During an LDAP session, is there a way to know
which
server in the list is ACTUALLY connected ?>>

The ldapHOST field in LDAP structure is a list,
but it seems like we can't get which server is
actually connected.
I need to know that for error/log messages, to
precise which servers are unreachable (ie before
the connected server in the list)

Thanks for help,
and especially thx to Kurt Zeilenga & Howard Chu
for their
immediate answers !!

Sam
