RE: ldapsearch problem!

Hi Mehdi:

I think that your ldapsearch query has not a correct format.

It should be something like

ldapsearch -b "dc=sharif,dc=edu" -x "objectclass=*"

After -b you need tu put a suffix.

Adios,

Evaristo

Subject: ldapsearch problem!

when I run slapcat it return
dn: dc=sharif, dc=edu
objectClass: top

dn: ou=groups, dc=sharif, dc=edu
objectClass: top
objectClass: organizationalUnit
ou: groups

dn: ou=people, dc=sharif, dc=edu
objectClass: top
objectClass: organizationalUnit
ou: people

but when i run ldapsearch -b "objectclass=*" -x
it return :

 version: 2

#
# filter: (objectclass=*)
# requesting: ALL
#

# search result
search: 2
result: 32 No such object

# numResponses: 1

Does anyone know how I can resovle this problem?
