RE: ldap_add : protocol error

I am using ldapadd command to add the data from the ldif file to the dcl
directory. At some places I am getting the ldap_add: protocol error.

ldapadd -x -c -D "cn=xyz,ou=abc,o=def,c=us" -w "djf" -f directroy2.ldif
..
..
Error goes like this:
adding new entry "ou=iiii,ou=abc,o=def,c=us"
ldap_add: Protocol error
        additional info: Protocol error

Any clues?
