ldap_sasl_interative_bind_s error

What is going on here ?

Which config file is this error dependent on slapd.conf or ldap.conf ?

moe2:/etc/openldap/good# ldapadd -w secret -D "cn=admin, dc=mycoll,
 dc=edu" -f mycolltop.ldif

 ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute

 This one works:

 moe2:/etc/openldap/good# ldapadd -w secret -D "cn=admin, dc=mycoll,
  dc=edu" -f mycolltop.ldif -x

adding new entry "dc=mycoll, dc=edu"

adding new entry "ou=people, dc=mycoll, dc=edu"

adding new entry "ou=accounts, dc=mycoll, dc=edu"

adding new entry "ou=daemons, dc=mycoll, dc=edu"
