ldapsearch problems

I have OpenLDAP ver. 2.0.7-14  installed on RedHat 7.1 .   When trying to
use the ldapsearch command to query a Lotus notes R5 server I get the
following;

I tried the same command on multiple Redhat 7.1 boxes, and they all fail
with the same message. Yet, when I run the same command from a SUSE box
against the same Lotus Notes Server it works fine !!!

Why it does not work on the RedHat boxes ? Any ideas ?
