currentTime in OpenLDAP V 2.x ?

Does OpenLDAP v2.x have an equivalent to the currentTime attribute found in
"cn=monitor" in v1.x?

I need to find out what value slapd will write into the "modifyTimeStamp"
attribute at any given point in time. (for a polling change detection
algorithm).
