I know that under Linux (not sure which other OS's) slapd appears to
have several processes running.  This is actually an artifact of Linux
multithreading, where there's one process but each thread of that
process gets a process table entry (and shows up in, for instance,
top).  So if you're running Linux and see four slapd's, they're all the
same thing.

Thare can be more that the idle number depending on how busy your server
gets.
