did you search the mailing list archive for this list at 
http://www.openldap.org? this problem has come up already and has been 
solved.

basically you must disable threads and shared libraries by doing

./configure --without-threads --disable-shared

this is from memory, don't quote me on that.

i have OpenLDAP 2.0.11 running fine with that on my titanium.
