RE: cannot getting slapd to start



In this case, you need to specify the '-R' flag in your linker definition.
 In openldap, edit the file 'libtool' and under the section or line
'LD="/usr/ccs/bin/ld"', change this to 'LD="/usr/ccs/bin/ld -R<path to
your library>'  In your case, the path where libgdbm.so.2 is found.
