make error

I tried to compile openldap-2.0.9                              
and have following error:

make[2]: *** [config.o] Error 1                                
                                                               I don't
use SSS/TSL at all.
Well question is can I uncomment or just throw away
#ifdef HAVE_TLS and #endif
to declare rc variable?
in file config.c (read_config() function) or can't?
