Re: Help on Solaris Install--Its not working

Your current (environment) variables
CPPFLAGS, LDFLAGS, LIBS are used by configure to find berkeley db
try things as
CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.3.2:..." LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.3.2/lib:...."  ./configure --prefix=....

 Hi:Why is this not documented somewhere? I tried berkeley and it now gets an error that it says it can't find LDBM so use appropiate options or disable. At least its different. I tried setting the path to /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.3.2 and to /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.3.2/bin and that did not help. All the docs I find are old and still reference old versions of BerkeleyDB. I have installed 3.2.9 and if I type db_load it works.Well?Thanks,Doug Cabelldoug.cabell@viacore.net(949) 725-1320----------------------------------------------------------

Hi
use --with-ldbm-api=berkeley instead

I am running Solaris 8 and trying  to install OpenLDAP.

I am running Sleepycat 3.2.9 and it is in the /usr/local/BerkeleyDB 3.2
directory.

I am using the latest version of gcc to compile.

I get the following error:
---
# ./configure --with-ldbm-api=db2

If I just try ./configure it says it can't find LDBM so use appropiate

Can someone please help me. I would really appreciate it.
