kind of index ?

Hi !

Another Question to the manpage :

 index { <attrlist> | default } [ pres,eq,approx,sub,none ]
              Specify  the  indexes  to  maintain  for  the given
              attribute. If only an <attr> is given, all possible
              indexes are maintained.

What is the exact meaning of "pres,eq,approx,sub,none" ? I read the whole 
manpage and the Adminstrators Guide but could not find anything...
