for some reason, I can't see root DSE attributes, always return "no such object". Did re-install, using the tar files openldap-stable-20000704.tgz, with same result. Strange thing with that version, is that I can't find any schema files (ex. cosine.schema), and when I use schema files from a previous install, I get " unknown directive "attributetype" outside database defenition... But that is another problem...
I will try with the "not so stable" release...
