LDAP Data Base replication question.

Hi,
I'm planing to use a master LDAP host and a multiple slave LDAP servers in
which the master replicate its information.
One question about the replication proces...
Is the slurpd daemon transactional ?
In other words, if there is a problem in one of the slave LDAP servers and
the slave doesn't confirm the update request to the master, will the slurpd
daemon retry later ?
