ldbmcat problem

i've copied all the ldap database files (in /var/lib/ldap) and config files
(in /etc/openldap) from an existing openldap server (v1.2.9) to a new server
(v1.2.11).

on the new server, i'm able to do a ldapsearch but when i perform a
"ldbmcat -n id2entry.dbb > ldap.ldif" command, a "function not implemented"
error message would occur:

the new server is running redhat 7, kernel 2.2.16.

pls advise how can i solve this problem.
