Do you mean that if you add an entry in the LDAP database that you don't
have those entries?

That would be a very strange thing indeed. If I do a slapcat I get entries
like:

dn: ou=hugo,dc=vanderkooij,dc=org
objectClass: top
objectClass: organizationalUnit
ou: hugo
creatorsName: cn=Manager, dc=vanderkooij, dc=org
createTimestamp: 20000920222314Z
modifiersName: cn=Manager, dc=vanderkooij, dc=org
modifyTimestamp: 20000920222314Z

Using ldapsearch you will not see them unless you specify them very
spcificly.
