Schema extension 1.x vs. 2.x

Hi,

 

I have been using 1.2.10 happily enough.  In particular, my schema extensions worked just fine. For example:

-----------------------------

attribute foo ces

attribute bar bin

objectclass funky

    requires foo

    allows bar

------------------------------

 

Unless I'm missing something (quite likely), under 2.0.3, I have to obtain OIDs and use them for my extensions.

 

Is this right? Or is there a way to migrate to this new version without doing this?
