No.  I had assumed you were using 2.0.  If not, my
question is mute.

Likely the problem you're seeing is not specific
to the OpenLDAP version, but your database
version/configuration.  You're welcomed to try 2.0.

Just note that 1.2.11 is "stable" and 2.0.1 is
"release" (as described in the FAQ).
