RE: Other os beside linux/bsd?

Yes, it can be built under Solaris 2.6. This is what I did for configure:

export CPPFLAGS="-I/users/BerkeleyDB/include"
export LDFLAGS="-L/users/BerkeleyDB/lib"

export ac_cv_func_pthread_create=no ol_cv_kthread_flag=no
export ol_cv_pthread_flag=no
export ol_cv_pthreads_flag=no
export ol_cv_thread_flag=no

./configure --prefix=/users/openldap \
                --with-ldbm-api=db2 \
                --enable-static \
                --enable-shared

The most interesting lines are the four export's in the middle.

Bye,
Wolfgang
