LDIF -> LDBM use ldif2ldbm (see man ldif2ldbm)
LDBM -> LDIF use ldbmcat (see man ldbmcat)

Not sure on this never had a crash yet.  I imagine using a combination
of ldbmcat, ldif2ldbm and ldif2index would help?
