ldap_bind: Invalid credentials

Why have two rootdn's?  I'd decide on which scheme I'm going to use
(dc=x or c=x), configure everything for that and remove the rest from
slapd.conf.

Of course, I'm an LDAP newbie too, so I could be completely wrong ;-)
