You need to help us help you.  Details please.  (As you found out
with your last enquiry, once you posted details you got immediate
useful responses.)

  * exactly what ldapsearch command failed (and how)
  * exactly what ldapadd command failed (and how)
  * current slapd.conf
  * details on ANY changes since things stopped working
